Kirsten Anderson is a Certified End-of-Life Doula through the International Doula Life Movement (IDLM), dedicated to helping individuals and families move through final chapters with clarity, dignity, and compassion. Her work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves a peaceful, supported, and deeply human experience at the end of life.

With a specialized background in serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Kirsten brings a thoughtful, person-centered approach to each client and family she supports. Her own lived experience navigating disability, chronic illness, and the complexities of the healthcare system has further shaped her practice—allowing her to empathize deeply, advocate confidently, and hold space with a grounded understanding of what compassionate care truly requires.

Kirsten offers highly personalized guidance for those preparing in advance or navigating care in real time. She brings a calm presence, steady support, and practical knowledge that help people feel less alone during tender and often overwhelming moments. She is also certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), allowing her to respond to emotional needs with compassion, awareness, and informed care.

She founded Death, Dignified to create a space where conversations about death feel natural, supported, and accessible. Her approach emphasizes individualized attention, meaningful connection, and an elevated standard of care rooted in respect for each person’s values, cultural traditions, and spiritual or non-spiritual beliefs.

Alongside her work with families, Kirsten dedicates time and resources to community care, ensuring that end-of-life support remains available to those who need it most. A portion of her practice is intentionally structured to provide free and reduced-cost services to underserved communities.
